I'm aboard! Take me to Kashmir!
Led Zeppelin: Rocking since 1968, doubtlessly one of the greatest rock band of all time, and had produced remarkable records like
Kashmir,
Dazed and Confused, Rock and Roll and
Stairway to Heaven, which is currently the most-played
song on radio.
This new remastered album is similar to the previous remastered compilation done by Jimmy Page, and now done with a new remastering engineer.

But the question is: does it actualy make any difference? Yes maybe if you have ears like a supersonic bat, says who? Of course you wouldn't hear any difference if you are using your $9.90 earpiece made in China. The sound quality wouldn't even bother you (It is irritating to use any of those earpiece, it kills the music). That's why I'm still grieving over my ATH-ES5 that spoilt.
I've compared the remasters and the original release, the remaster sure as hell makes LOTS OF IMPACT! Finally I'm able to hear the deepest, heaviest and crispiest Led Zeppelin! The new version is just irresistible, it is more vibrant and articulated. The current trends of recording is to make them VERY LOUD. Mastering engineers do that by reducing the difference between the very quiet bits and the very loud bits, so that everything occupies a muscular middle range. It reduces subtlety and finesse. Unlike this new remaster, especially if you listen to Kashmir and Black Dog, it is loud but not careless.
Now I understand why they were related to Satan in the 70's, their songs really give me goosebumps. Now at least one thing’s for sure: they’re rocking harder than ever before, and I could just listen to this all day.
Cheers!
